Something I do find interesting is that the Hobgoblins are very clearly speaking Zharralid, which makes sense, it's just weird hearing Greenskins use Dwarfen words. Even the Wood Elves will occasionally have contact with the outside world, whereas the closest the Chaos Dwarfs get is when Chaos Warriors strike deals with them, and that would likely be done with somebody who knew Zharralid (the new name for their tongue), or they'd speak the Dark Tongue. Why aren't 'regular' Dwarves speaking their language, but Chaos Dwarves need to be incomprehensible? Probably because the Chaos Dwarf leaders, much like Treemen (Durthu) Lizardmen, and Tomb Kings, are extreme isolationists and supremacists (that part's pretty important) who've never bothered to learn another language, even though they are certainly able. Once you spared me death, such was your folly. I have returned, father, to claim my birthright and my destiny. Fools Seek refuge in faith or madness, for theres no longer any other place to hide. The dreadful breed of night is crawling out of darkness, to take possession of the world. Time passes into oblivion, and the stars lapse in the sky. Why can I understand what the Wood Elves are saying, but not the Chaos Dwarves? ' Burn Burn with the fires of Change Scream your hymns to Tzeentch '. Woe, O world The Age of Mortals is coming to an end. Well, can't you make the same argument about ANY warhammer race? "The OFFICIAL name of the language is now "Zharralid", (meaning Fire Tongue) which fits the syntax more consistently (ie.hammertongue is grundlid) and is also a simpler term than the former "Zharrazalid"."
